The BRCP Team

Day to Day Management

Sue Knight
BRCP Registrar

Throughout my working career I have had a strong focus on reshaping and increasing effectiveness in both the corporate and voluntary sectors, including small specialist and multi-national organisations.  Supporting that focus has been my overriding belief in complementary therapies and how they can help people to achieve optimum levels of health and wellbeing.

I have been a qualified practitioner of Healing since 1996; run workshops and training courses; represented the practice of Healing to government and participated in national working parties that influenced standards of excellence within Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

Running the BRCP with my colleagues has been my absolute pleasure since 2017.  Connecting with our registrants and potential members is what I enjoy doing.  Those human connections are what we practitioners do every day of our working life, because we can see the difference that we can make to people’s lives.  It’s not just about what we offer, it’s about having the time to really listen to someone and then work with them to create an individual plan toward achieving their best selves at this moment in time.  That’s what we do within BRCP and that’s what our BRCP registrants do. I couldn’t be prouder.

Lyn Goat BA (Hons)
BRCP Membership Manager is your first point of contact

Lyn has a rich background in metaphysics, complementary therapies, and natural health. Her journey includes courses in flower remedies, aromatherapy, and crystal therapy, alongside personal experience including Reiki, angel therapy, reflexology, and osteopathy.

Professionally, Lyn has held diverse roles, from hospitality and secretarial work to a decade with a frontline ambulance service during a period of significant change. She later transitioned to education, working with SEN juniors before moving into secondary education. Hospital treatment led to an epiphany whereby Lyn returned to roles within the NHS including leading a team of domiciliary phlebotomists and managing out-of-hours primary care services.

Lyn's personal healing journey, influenced by early interests in herbalism and natural remedies, led her to yoga and mindfulness. After overcoming breast cancer, she deepened her yoga practice and completed advanced teacher training, focusing on breathwork and emotional well-being.  Lyn’s teaching experience includes horse care, canine communication, and mindfulness.

Currently, Lyn contributes to the CHO and BRCP in an administrative capacity, supporting the organisations and learning more about the therapies they represent.

The British Register of Complementary Practitioners is owned and administered by The Confederation of Healing Organisations, Registered Charity Number 1119533
